CHART OF THE DAY

Before the Freeze

The way conflict reshapes travel has become a defining theme since 2025, and current regional trajectories highlight volatility.

Ironically, the Middle East and Africa was outperforming other regions, showing 4% growth over last year. The Middle East started the month on very solid ground, before military operations commencing on February 28 altered the near-term outlook for the region.

While Asia-Pacific and Latin America showed moderate growth of 2%, North America struggled. A 6% year-on-year drop reflects a visible travel slowdown in the U.S., pulling the region’s overall performance downward.
